God Needs a Willing Heart

It’s true that exposure is our friend, but its strength is drained if there is no will to change.

Jehovah points things out for a reason, but He won’t wrestle you to the ground to change your ways.

Our God needs a willing heart.

Do you fear exposure?  Are you too deep a companion of pride?  It’s a cruel taskmaster, you know.  It’s an enemy, an accuser, and an executioner.

How do you escape such bondage?

Be willing to change.

Ask the Lord to show you how. Ask Him to cover you in His Cloak of Humility and forgive your fearful, proud, resistant heart.

He will… and then exposure can be your friend.  Change – when powered by Jesus – will open the door to freedom in your life as you’re transformed to Christ’s image, just like Father God planned

… but only if you’re willing to change.

Our God needs a willing heart.

Single? Be Glad.

No offense to anyone, but don’t assume those of us who are single are miserable. Nothing could be further from the truth.

There is freedom in being single and set apart for serving God.  There is peace of mind and heart in pursuing God’s will without conflict or battle to the contrary.

By the same token, two hearts on the same page determined to follow and obey the True and Living God create a symphonic harmony of praise, worship, and growth few other unions can match.  I’m well aware of that.  I have it in friendship, and I relish it greatly.

But if there is not a heart yet willing to serve God alongside you as spouse, there is no reason to be frozen or forlorn about it.  Matters of choice are in the Hands of God, and so is joy.  Your Divine Husband will never leave you, nor forsake you; so you need not be married in the natural to have joy. No fishing and scrounging around for matrimony is necessary for life’s joy and gladness to overtake you.  That is the glorious truth…

Thank God.

Stay In Touch

When emotions are triggered by occurrences, don’t always consider you’re being attacked by the enemy.

God has a way of using those triggers to call up corrosive elements of our psyche or emotions He desires to deliver from our lives.

Ever heard a song from your childhood that transported you right back there and brought you to tears?

I have; and, when I’ve asked the Lord what in the world is going on with me – always ask the Lord, y’all – He asks me to release the weight of emotion to His loving arms… to forgive what or who needs forgiving (sometimes it’s just me), and to yield to His control the sinewy mess of hurts and woundings attached to it.

Stay in touch with God regularly, that’s the only way you’ll know.  He’s the key to your freedom, for He alone holds the plan of deliverance for your life.  Stay in touch, beloved.  Stay in touch.

Amen.
