Stay In Touch

When emotions are triggered by occurrences, don’t always consider you’re being attacked by the enemy.

God has a way of using those triggers to call up corrosive elements of our psyche or emotions He desires to deliver from our lives.

Ever heard a song from your childhood that transported you right back there and brought you to tears?

I have; and, when I’ve asked the Lord what in the world is going on with me – always ask the Lord, y’all – He asks me to release the weight of emotion to His loving arms… to forgive what or who needs forgiving (sometimes it’s just me), and to yield to His control the sinewy mess of hurts and woundings attached to it.

Stay in touch with God regularly, that’s the only way you’ll know.  He’s the key to your freedom, for He alone holds the plan of deliverance for your life.  Stay in touch, beloved.  Stay in touch.

Very little in common but Jesus… adjusts the frequency of intense relationship.

Not an end, just turning down the burner as it were. Thanking God for Jesus.

Going on in kind ways and continuing to pray… life continues, blessed.

Holding out hope for quieter, more peaceful days…

… and continuing to love.

“A woman’s just got to be physically attractive, that’s it,” said Myron.

Dorese felt very rejected (for she considered herself slightly unattractive).

“How can you say that, Myron?  I mean, what about the woman inside?”

The narrow-minded man chuckled a little (almost a lot) and then boldly replied, “the woman inside can talk to me through a paper bag if she wants, and we can have a lovely conversation; but we’ll never be much more than friends.”

“Just because she’s not physically attractive?” the cute (but not beautiful) Dorese asked in amazement.

“Yeah,” Myron quickly retorted (defensively and disgusted), “just because she’s not physically attractive.”

Dorese thought to herself – what a sad state of affairs – though she dared not say any more out loud.
